Ingredients
- 1 medium African yam, peeled and cut into thick fries
- 2–3 cups avocado oil
- Salt to taste
- Cajun mix: 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp cayenne, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp 21 Seasoning Salute, ½ tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp pink salt

Mix all Cajun mix ingredients. Strain through a fine sieve. Set aside.

Heat avocado oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

Fry yam fries for 5 minutes to cook through and soften.
